Leadership change at Geoplin
Uroš Bider, one of the most experienced senior executives in the Petrol Group, will take over the leadership of Geoplin on 1 November 2026. Simon Urbancl, the outgoing General Manager, will continue his career abroad once his term of office ends at the end of October. Simona Kostrevc remains on the company's management team as Director.
Uroš Bider has been with the Petrol Group for more than three decades, holding a number of management positions in Slovenia and across the region during that time. In recent years he has successfully led the operations of Petrol and Beogas in Serbia. His extensive leadership experience and thorough knowledge of the energy sector ensure continuity of leadership and the continued delivery of Geoplin's development and business objectives.
Until the new General Manager takes office, the management of the company will be handed over gradually and in an orderly manner, ensuring uninterrupted operations.
Geoplin remains the leading supplier of natural gas in Slovenia and an important partner to business and industry in ensuring a reliable energy supply. The change of leadership does not affect the implementation of the company's strategic direction, its development projects, or its relationships with customers and business partners.
