Slovenian company GEOPLIN and Algerian company SONATRACH extend Natural Gas Supply Agreement
GEOPLIN and the Algerian company SONATRACH signed an extension of their natural gas supply agreement today, ensuring uninterrupted gas supply to Slovenia in the coming years.
The Slovenian company GEOPLIN d.o.o. Ljubljana, a member of the PETROL Group, and the Algerian national natural gas producer and exporter SONATRACH signed the agreement at the Presidential Palace in Slovenia today. The signing ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Robert Golob, and the President of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
Under the signed agreement, Geoplin will continue to ensure an uninterrupted supply of natural gas to its customers in Slovenia and abroad. Through this agreement, Slovenian Geoplin and Algerian Sonatrach are further strengthening their energy sector ties, with both parties expressing interest in exploring new partnership opportunities in the future.
The agreement also holds strategic importance for Algeria, as it reinforces Sonatrach’s position on the Slovenian market, while, meeting the growing natural gas demand on the European market. This collaboration not only strengthens Algeria’s presence on the international scene, but also asserts its commitment to expanding the areas of bilateral economic cooperation to a more advanced level.
